Far From Mars – is a writing project from 2015-6 and is a project that brings together a lot of musical ideas. It has been a very exciting to develop some new processes in my studio and figure out some new ways of bringing projects together. Maybe one of the most difficult elements of producing your own work is finding ways of getting over the finish line.

This CD is very much about the electric bass. There is a lot of bass on this CD and it taught me just how difficult it is to mix tracks that have multiple bass parts. But it is also a great indulgence, an opportunity to play around with all the bass ideas that normally don’t get a look in when working with other artists.

Here’s to too much bass, . . . way too much. I love it!
